- Do an allergy test on a small part of your arm. If no allergic reaction takes place you are good to go.
- Take some Black Diamond Kali Mehandi in a non-metallic below & make a fine paste by mixing water.
- For a deeper color add Diamond Herbal Indigo Leaf Powder to the mixture. Indigo will enhance the color & nourish your hair & scalp.
- Let the paste sit for sometime & then apply properly. Divide your hair into sections and cover them up one by one.
- Remember to use gloves while mixing & application.
- Let the mehandi sit on your hair for about 45 minutes.
- Wash thoroughly with clean running water.
3. What are some henna Tips & Tricks?
- Remember to always be opened minded, and if needed, adjust your recipe to suit your hair. Just because someone else does it, doesn’t always make it right for you.
- Keep your recipe simple.
- Put Vaseline or any other petroleum jelly on your hairline.
- Pre-oil your hair, if you tend to get really dry when using henna, and herbs in your hair. This will give you the moisture boost you need. This also helps prevent dripping when dyeing your hair. Some of the best hair oils to use are olive oil, coconut oil, argan oil, and camellia oil.
- Applying indigo onto damp hair has gotten the indigo to absorb better and give even darker, richer black color results.
- Apply henna on clean hair.
- Rinse your hair with conditioner to remove henna from hair.
- You should not apply henna if your scalp is wounded or infected in any way. Applying hair on wounded scalp can lead to more problems.
