The Tiptree story begins around the early 1700s with Trewlands, the farm that was later to become the main site for jam-making in the Essex village of Tiptree. The Wilkin family have been farming at Tiptree, Essex, since 1757, Tiptree has been growing fruit & making preserves since 1885 in Essex County, England.
