A staple across Asia, this long-grain rice is aromatic and sumptuous. Native to Thailand, the name “Jasmine†refers to the colour of the rice, which is as white as the jasmine flower. This long-grain rice has a somewhat buttery aroma. The trick to cooking perfect jasmine rice is using the correct ratio of water to rice and keeping an eye on the water level as it cooks. It is moist and soft in texture when cooked with a slightly sweet flavour.
