Fill it with soil mix and water it thoroughly then sow the seeds 1/4 inches deep and cover the pot with transparent plastic. Place the pot near direct sun and keep a eye on the moisture level of soil. | STEP 4: PruningIf you want to maximize the growth and flavor of the basil foliage, you should pinch off the flower heads as they begin to appear.
